Tower City Center, formerly known as Cleveland Union Terminal, is a facility composed of a number of interconnected office buildings, a shopping mall, two hotels, the landmark Terminal Tower, and the main hub of Cleveland's three Rapid Transit lines.
The buildinng complex was built by the Van Sweringen brothers as a terminal for all trains coming into the Cleveland via the various railroads lines. The fifty-two story Terminal Tower, facing Public Square was later added to the original design and completed in 1967.
